History of College

Annai Veilankanni’s Educational and Cultural Society is founded by Dr.S.Devaraj, in the year 1988, and has progressed steadily in its pursuit of excellence. A candle was lighted in the year 2000 in the humble basement of Annai Veilankanni”s College of Arts & Science.

The candle is burning bright still after a decade, even today, preparing and empowering the youth for glowing opportunities. Our institution is a place to pursue exceptional leadership qualities, to unlock the talents and potentials of students to meet their goals. Annai Veilankanni”s Women”s college is a place where education meets innovation and values and the three stay together .We have taken up several initiatives to expose students to the emerging trends in teaching and learning Value added and skill enhancing courses are offered for employability and empowerment.

Since 2012, this Institution as part of Annai Veilankanni’s group of Educational Institutions, under the able leadership of our Chairman Dr.S.Devaraj Ph.D, is totally committed in shaping the young budding engineers to meet the challenges of today’s competitive world. We have dedicated faculty to achieve this vision and their services cannot be measured monetarily.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – 4 Years Course

Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree Course from Annai Veilankanni’s Pharmacy college is approved by the Government of Tamilnadu and affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University. This course is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Eligiblity

Candidates who have passed +2 Examination or its equivalent with 50% Average Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology / Biology / Mathematics.

For candidates belonging to Scheduled caste / Scheduled tribe the minimum marks for admission shall be 40%

Candidates with the Diploma in Pharmacy conducted by the Board of examination of the Government of Tamilnadu or by any other state, recognized as equivalent to by the authority of the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University.

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) – 2 Years Course

The Master of Pharmacy degree course from Annai Veilankanni’s Pharmacy college is approved by the Government of Tamilnadu and affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University. This course is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

The duration of the course is four years.

Laboratory

The laboratories in the college are spacious and well-equipped. They are a great boon to students to complement their learning effectively. Internet facility is available to students to keep abreast of the latest developments in all the fields of knowledge. Laboratories are spacious and well-equipped which provide the best hands-on training and learning facility. 

Library

A well–stocked library with books, magazines, and journals on various subjects is an added attraction to the students. Library week is celebrated every year and various competitions are organized.

Sports and Games

Sports and games from an integral part of the curriculum. The students are encouraged to participate in competitions and tournaments at the Zonal / State / national levels. Students who excel in sports and games are duly recognized, appreciated and fee concessions are given to encourage them. They get preference in admission also.

Hostel

There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The hostels are located in a decent, hygienic, and salubrious ambiance with a feel-good climate. The hostels have all amenities for healthy living, dining, and recreation that make each student feel at home.

The hostels provide a congenial atmosphere for intellectual stimulation and integrated growth of personality. The hostels are provided with water purifiers to provide pure and uncontaminated water to the students.

Canteen

The college has a well-maintained canteen with adequate facilities for the staff & students and provides tasty and nutritious food at a subsidized rate.
