The central Library and Resource
Centre of Madha Engineering College plays a pivotal role in the process of
promoting and demonstrating a desire for information, knowledge, and
understanding among the students, and so aiding them in the development of
their professional, personal, and spiritual lives. The Library and Resource
Centre inspires and supports students, faculty, researchers, and staff in all
facets of their pursuits to dream, learn, create, and share knowledge and
provide access to a wide array of technical ideas and information. The
centrally air – conditioned library and Resource Centre is built in an Area of
929.03 Sq.ft. The fully Automated Library & Resource Centre provides an
ambience conducive for the teaching and learning process with the support of
36,298 volumes of text and reference books.

Transport
The college runs a full fledged
Transport department that operates 30 buses in addition to cab to extend
transport facility for students and staff coming from urban and suburban areas
.This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation. The
routes have been meticulously planned covering the nook and corner of the city.
The number of buses tend to increase based on the increase in the intake of
students in the ensuing academic year.
NSS/YRC/NCC
NCC (National Cadet Corps)
The National Cadet Corps cadets
actively participate in different community service activities. The students
are encouraged to join in NCC from first year onwards. The selection process is
done by NCC unit. Rigorous training has been provided throughout the year and
successful students are selected for national level programs such Republic day
parade
NSS (National Service Scheme)
The programme aims to inculcate
social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS
volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their
standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn
from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of
resources. it also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing
food, clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.
The NSS has been functioning with
the sole aim of “Service to Society”. The institution itself was started
primarily to promote quality education to the semi-urban groups near MEC. By
being in the NSS (National Service Scheme), the youth of our country is doing
enormous service.

Sports & Games
An intelligent mind needs a quick
and agile body, and that can only be achieved when there is a proper balance of
academic training and physical activities .While the thrust is on knowledge and
enhancement of learning, the institute built up a wealth of opportunities for
sports, indoor games and other physical activities. The campus has spacious
playground providing access to entire range of sports
YRC Club (Youth Red Cross)
Youth Red Cross, volunteers are
actively involving in Social activities. Youth Red Cross helps the students to
inculcate discipline in them and to understand their responsibilities towards
their countrymen, especially the poor and downtrodden.
Objective
Youth Red Cross is to inculcate in
the Youth of our country awareness on the care of their own health and that of
others the understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and acting
accordingly with humanitarian concern, to fulfil the same to enable the growth
and development.
Hostels
The campus hostel offers boarding
facility for the outstation candidates. The institution has separate hostel for
boys and girls with round the clock security and emergency care service. The
residential doctor extends the assistance for the students who are indeed. In
addition, the institution has a vehicle exclusively for the hostel students to
take them to the hospital if they fall sick. Madha Engineering College hostel
is just an another home for the students. The hostel provides extreme comfort
and creates the feeling of togetherness among the hostellers. And the dining
session for the hostel students are also separate for boys and girls with
different timings.
On – campus accommodation capacity
The on-campus hostel “Soosaiya
Pillai Boys’ Hostel” has facility to accommodate maximum of 500 boy students.
The on-campus hostel “Arul Mary
Girls’ Hostel” has the facility to accommodate maximum of 300 girl students.

Canteen
The on campus canteen facility
caters to the need of both the residential students as well the day scholars.
The canteen has a special menu for the hostellers that comprises healthy and
nutritious food items on regular basis. In addition, the private canteen
supports with the variety of south Indian and North Indian food items and
dishes at nominal cost. The dining facility in the canteen could accommodate
close to 1000 students at a time. College has a spacious canteen facility in the
college premises and is run by a private catering service. Also the canteen
provides refreshments at affordable rates. Adequate seating facilities are
provided to accommodate students and staff even during peak time. Food items
are prepared with water from RO plant. It is well maintained with efficient
service.
